Nashville has been on the map the last few years, garnering attention from VOGUE, Harper’s Bazaar, WWD, & Nylon Magazine to name a few. I’ve had the pleasure of living in Nashville for ten years and I’ve seen this beautiful city grow. The landscape has most certainly changed with new restaurants (5th & Taylor, Le Sel), music venues (Ascend Amphitheater, Basement East) and new condos appearing almost daily. We’ve finally made our mark for being known for more than just country music. Finally!
If you’ve lived in Nashville for the last five years, you may have experienced one of our many fashion events. One of my favorite fashion events in Nashville is the runway show at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center benefiting the grammy winning Nashville Symphony. (To see my coverage of last year’s event go HERE.) This year’s featured designer was Carolina Herrera in partnership with Gus Mayer. This year’s event Co-Chairs were Sylvia Bradbury and Suzanne Smothers, Honorary Chair Nicole Kidman, and Celebrity Chair Lily Aldridge. Sara Evans closed the show with a few songs and Holly Williams was the event’s Emcee.
One of the beautiful things to note about Herrera’s designs for this collection was the continued use of 3D jasmine embroidery. She utilized this feature in different colors like desert, powder, and black. My friend Sheridon closed the show in a beautiful chiffon gown in iris. Wonderful job by all the models and the backstage teams and event committees. This event never disappoints!

Special thanks to the Nashville Symphony & Dave Felipe for generously allowing me to cover such a wonderful event again this year. And a very gracious thank you to Brett Warren for capturing such wonderful images! You never disappoint, my friend!
