I have two favorite events that I make a point to attend each year. One is the Iroquois Steeplechase (only one week away) and the Symphony Fashion Show at the Schermerhorn Symphony. On Tuesday April 30th Lexus Nashville, in conjunction with Gus Mayer Nashville, hosted a runway show featuring designer Christian Siriano’s FW2014 collection. Despite the looming bad weather forecast, guests turned out in full fashionable attire ready to enjoy the show. The evening began with guests mingling inside the side hall while enjoying cocktails and hors d’oeuvres. Following the cocktail hour, guests were ushered into the main hall to enjoy the show.
I attended with my friend and fellow fashionista Alexa Lipman. She wore the Australian line KAHLO, while my swan print neoprene dress was by LA based line Clover Canyon. Her mother, Sandra Lipman, was the Executive Committee Chair for the evening and wore Oscar de la Renta. Below is a photo of the three of us from before the show. The two main chairs for the evening were Vicki Horne and Dara Russell, but unfortunately no photos are available of them.
Following below are incredible outfits from several beautiful attendees. Then photos from the actual show are immediately after them.
The long black glossy runway (now a permanent fashion show resident) shined against the stage lighting. Guests took their seats and the show began. Sirano’s fall collection was the appropriate color palette for fall – black, white, emerald greens, and purples. The few fall hats included were a nice addition. The marketable line included luscious fabrics and flattering silhouettes.
After the runway show, The Band Perry played a few songs. They always put on a great show at these events. I was lucky to have a seat right next to the stage.
Finally, the seated dinner took place in the main halls. Christian Siriano’s drawings hung beautifully above.
